Julie Shiver, PMHNP

Julie Shiver, PMHNP, is joining our Alabama inpatient team . Julie is a dedicated nursing professional with extensive experience in psychiatric and behavioral health care. She earned my Master of Science in Nursing in Education at Western Governors University and completed her Post Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of South Alabama. Throughout her career, Julie has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles including Director of Nursing, Quality Assurance Director, and Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Troy University and Auburn University, where she loves educating and supporting nursing students. Julie is passionate about patient centered care, education, and improving mental health outcomes for individuals and families across the lifespan. Outside of her professional life, Julie has been married since January 15, 2000 and am a proud mother to one daughter who is 22 years old. She is finishing her degree in early childhood education and getting married on June 6, 2026. Julie enjoys spending time with family, being involved in church, and traveling
