Psychological testing is like a health check-up for your mind.
You answer questions, do activities, and talk with a psychologist.
These tests help us understand things like:
- Trouble focusing
- Feeling really sad or scared
- Big changes in behavior
- Learning problems
- Emotional struggles
We use these tests to:
- Figure out what’s going on
- Make a plan to help
- Share the results with you or your doctor

What Is Neuropsychological Testing?
This kind of testing looks at how your brain is working. We look at memory, focus, and how you think and learn. It helps with things like:
- Memory loss
- Brain injuries
- Learning difficulties
- Medical conditions that affect thinking
You’ll do different tasks and answer questions. It usually takes 1 to 5 hours. Afterward, you get a full report with the results and ideas for how to feel better or get support.
Why Someone Might Need Testing
A doctor or counselor might send you for testing if you have:
- A brain injury
- Memory changes
- ADHD
- Autism
- Anxiety or trauma
- Learning struggles
- Problems after an illness like cancer or infection
