Spencer Ilstrup

Dr. Spencer Ilstrup is excited to join our TriStar Centennial Medical Center team as an inpatient psychiatrist in Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up in western Minnesota and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his psychiatry training at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Dr. Ilstrup’s clinical interests include severe mental illness, including catatonia, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients requiring acute psychiatric hospitalization. Outside of work, he enjoys waterfowl hunting back home in Minnesota, long distance running, dog tracking with his fiancée, cooking, and is now learning how to scuba dive.
