Susan Redge

M.D

My husband and I built a home in Garden City in 1994, which we enjoyed for vacations. In January 2006, I moved to Garden City to begin employment with Waccamaw Mental Health Center in Kingstree, SC. I worked full time in Kingstree for several months, and then my time was split between Waccamaw Mental Health Center in Georgetown, SC and Kingstree, SC. Later my time was split between Waccamaw Mental Health Center in Kingstree, SC and Conway, SC, and for the last year I have been working full time at Waccamaw Mental Health Center in Conway, SC.

I see all ages of mental health patients in the Waccamaw Adult Outpatient Service and Waccamaw Child and Adolescent Service. Over the holidays in 2011 I provided coverage at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, SC in the inpatient psychiatry unit. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan in 1993. I earned an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998. I completed my residency training with the Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center Post-Graduate Education program in March 2003. During residency, I received nine months of my training at the John D Dingell Veterans Administration Medical Center in Detroit, MI. I enjoyed working for Waccamaw Mental Health Center as a South Carolina Department of Mental Health employee and took my retirement beginning November 2, 2012. I maintain a private office in Murrells Inlet, SC with Kathleen O’Leary, MD and see patients on a part time basis.
