Simone Durand has worked in the field of mental health since 2005. Her experience includes community mental health, residential care management, and outpatient practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has experience with special populations including trauma survivors, Veterans, the rural and underserved, and children and adolescents. Her interests include psychopharmacology, the neurophysiology underlying trauma-based disorders, and training PMHNP students and new graduates.
