Kevin Pippens

Kevin is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He attended Stillman College, where he obtained a bachelor’s in biology in 2014. He then received his LPN in 2015 and associate degree in nursing in 2019 from Shelton State Community College.

He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama. He previously worked at the Tuscaloosa VA Mental health facility and St. Vincent’s East Behavioral Health as a charge nurse for 4 years. He gained clinical experience with Alabama psychiatry in Auburn for child and adolescents, Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham for adults and geriatrics, and at St. Vincent’s East outpatient. He currently works at JBS Craig Crisis Care Center where he specializes in care for patients who are actively experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
